Q: OK, what ARE these Zoid things?
A: Zoids are primarily a series of Japanese plastic, wind-up or battery operated robot toys, produced originally by Tomy. They have been sold on and off since the early 1980's under various names by an assortment of distributors. Some of the more recent Zoids lack a motor, but all Zoids come as kits and require glueless assembly.
Q: Alright, then what are Blox?
A: Blox are a series of building block-like toys consisting of small blocks and detail attachments such as heads, legs and tails. Blox are also from Tomy and like Zoids, they require assembly. Unlike Zoids, no Blox produced yet are motorized.
Q: Wow! Zoids are cool! Please sell me yours?
A: My Zoids are not for sale. In the links section, you will see several links that will direct you to sites where you can buy your own Zoids.
Q: UR sight sux! U R layme! I h8 U!
A: Do me a favor and tell your babysitter to lock you in a closet. Remember to bring a flashlight and your English textbook. Take notes, this will be on the exam.
Q: Your site is very difficult to get around! You practically need a user's manual! What are all these pictures about?
A: No. It's not hard to figure out the icons. Go ahead and click on stuff, it won't kill you. Think of it as an adventure!
Q: Can I use your images on my website/ebay auction?
A: Most likely not, but you can ask anyway.
Q: Your email address is bad!
A: Take a close look at the address. See where it says "remove this part"? Guess what you do with it! No, not THAT, wiseguy.
Q: Wowie zowie! Where did all this information come from? (or) Why doesn't this information doesn't match what's on my Zoids box? (or) The Zoids on the TV show do something completely different than what you say they do! What gives?
A: That depends on the zoid you're looking at. Some of them are completely made up, but I'm slowly going through and revising information based on Japanese translations as I come across them. No, I don't have a list of what's 'official' and what's made-up. As for the show...Contact the animators if what the zoids do don't match what's on the original boxes.
Q: What about the color comparisons?
A: Actually, those are real.
Q: What about the little reviews at the bottom of each page?
A: Those are real, too.
Q: And the upgrades available for each Zoid? Are they real too?
A: Yes. You catch on quick!
Q: So then my Deathsaurer toy can actually shoot charged particles from its mouth?
A: Only if you ask it really nicely. A lot. Come back and tell me when it happens, I'd like to know how many times you have to ask. Go ahead, I'll be here waiting when you're done.
Q: Do you need help? Is there anything I can do?
A: Look through the listings. Notice a color variation that's wrong or missing? Tell me (include pictures, if possible). Notice any actual problems with the pages, and not complaints about how inept people can't get around? Tell me! (Note: it'll take a while for all the pages to get written...Be patient!)
